Biography #1: Audrey Hepburn

My first book report is on Audrey Hepburn. Here are some of the things I learned about Audrey Hepburn.

  1. Audrey wanted to be a ballerina.
  2. An old woman asked Audrey if she wanted to be an actress in a movie called “Gigi”.
  3. She was in several different movies like “Funny Face”, “Sabrina”, and “My Fair Lady”.
  4. Her outfits were simple and unique.
  5. Audrey’s outfits had a name and it is called “The Audrey Look”.
  6. She starred in two dozen movies.
  7. Audrey was a mother, with two children named Sean and Luca.
  8. She travelled all over places to help children in need.

A day in a wheelchair

For UBBT, I have to spend one day in a wheelchair, so I have empathy for others who are in a wheelchair.

We did this today at Northpoint Mall. My mom and dad were there to help. My dad came to see us at lunch and we ate in the food court. It was hard to use the bathroom in the wheelchair and not easy to eat and to get in and out of stores. Here are some photos from that day.

Mom and I are going to go back again and do a few more hours and visit more stores.

My 10 personal goals this year

The UBBT book says I have to set and realize 10 personal goals this year. So my parents and I have come up with this list of goals:

1. Complete 90% proficiency on Dave Ramsey’s chore chart.

2. Improve explanations in question responses.

3. Improve mental math skills.

4. Finish the BBC typing class on the computer.

5. Learn 2 songs on the piano by the end of summer.

6. Increase my push ups to 50 at a time.

7. Work up to a 5 mile walk by the time of the black belt.

8. Work up to 30% proficiency in iXL (online math training) for 3rd grade by the time school starts.

9. Make bed and pick up clothes for 7 days straight.

10. Prepare and give a short presentation on malaria to my class when school starts.
